Well, we've had a fun summer so far. We haven't had too much going on. This past week it got over 100 everyday. (A few days up to 107!) So, we've done a lot of swimming.

Sam decided he wanted to grow is hair out this summer. Thankfully he changed his mind after just a few weeks. He got tired of his bangs itching his eyes.

On July 4th we got up and headed out to our friends ranch to do some fishin'. We had lots of fun - it was a beautiful day - and I had caught the biggest fish of the day, until Sam reeled in a 21 inch catfish. He was so proud!
Adrian has a little garden in the back yard. All the plants must really like the heat! Knee high by the 4th of July?
We headed to downtown Lubbock for the big fireworks show. Here is a picture of the kids while we were waiting for the fireworks to start.
While we were there a girl from the local newspaper asked if she could take our picture. This was in the spotted section of the Avalanch Journal.
Layne crashed before the fireworks even started.
With all the riding lessons going on, Sam wanted to get in on the action. Here is a couple pictures of him with Skid. He did a good job riding and now thinks he is a real cowboy!
FYI - we are leaving this Friday for our 2nd annual 2 week trip - so it will be a couple weeks before I can update the blog again. We are heading to Colorado for a few days, Wyoming for a few days, Montana for a few days, Yellowstone for a few days, then Utah for a few days. So, when I do post I will have LOTS of pics!
