Happy Holidays!

Last week the kids got out of school on Wednesday for Thanksgiving break, so we went Christmas shopping for Adrian. He's been wanting some tools and a screen for our fireplace, so we decided to give him an early Christmas present on Wednesday night.

We had a great Thanksgiving!! We had Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, noodles, rolls, stuffing, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, cookies, and pumpkin pie!! YUMMY! It was so good! The kids stayed in their PJ's all morning watching the Parade while Adrian and I cooked/baked, then I told the kids to get dressed so we could eat - Sam put on his tux with a tie and the girls both put on dresses and did their hair and makeup. After we stuffed ourselves we took naps, watched movies, read the paper, played on the wii, and played a few rounds of hungry hungry hippo. We then got out all the leftovers and stuffed ourselves again then played a few rounds of Uno attack.
The kids were very intrigued by the uncooked turkey!

On Saturday we put out the Christmas decorations. My little elf (aka peter pan or Sam) helped hang up some of the decorations.

Last night at gymnastics the kids had an evaluation - Josie and Sam were evaluated on a few different things, while Layne was just evaluated on one - but they all got blue ribbons, and after class Sam's teacher/coach talked to me about moving Sam up into the next level class. It's an invitation only class to prepare the kids to be on their competition team. It would start in January - Sam really wants to do it, but it's 30 minutes longer, on a different night, and cost $25 more - so we haven't made a decision yet. But we are so proud of all three of them!

Congratulations on the gymnastics ribbons! When I saw you take your classes, I thought you all did really well---I guess I was right!
