Easter - Eggs, Eggs, and more Eggs!

Well, our Easter weekend started off BIG! Our church, Experience Life Now, had its 2nd annual Egg Drop. This year we dropped 50,000 eggs from a helicopter onto a football field. Over 10,000 people came - It was a big success, but a little crazy! (A few hundred people "misplaced" their kids for about 20-30 minutes.) With all the chaos going on - and because some kids were hoarding 50 eggs for themselves - Josie, Sam, and Layne didn't get one egg. They didn't seem to mind too much though - I think they were just happy that they didn't get lost - it was a pretty traumatic scene! Thankfully all kids were accounted for and families reunited!

After church just the 5 of us had an Easter lunch, then we headed over to the Duby's house for another egg hunt (The egg hunt participants were: Josie, Sam, Layne, Sierra Duby, Savannah Duby, Thomas Haverdink, Allison Haverdink, and Sarah Haverdink). They all had a great time, and I know Josie, Sam, and Layne were just happy to get eggs this time!

Today when I was dropping the kids off at school, the Chick-fil-a cow was there. The cow hugged Sam as he walked by!

I just thought I would share this picture with all of you - here is Layne sleeping. We told her to go get ready for bed - this is what I found when I went in to check on her (She was a very sleepy girl!) - fully dressed, not in PJ's, but a skirt and favorite shirt, jewelry, hair bows, and shoes - this is not what she had on during the day, this is what she changed into, to wear to bed. She just always has to look pretty!
