Short and Sweet

Last Thursday Layne and I headed out to do a little shopping. This was the outfit that she decided to wear. She and everyone else out and about thought she looked FABULOUS!

About a month ago Layne was looking at a picture of herself and said, "Is my hair really that long? I need a hair cut! Can you call and make me an appointment?" So, I called to make an appointment and last Friday she got her haircut. FYI, I don't ever tell the stylist how to cut her hair. Layne knows exactly what she wants, and this is how she told our hair stylist to cut her hair. It is SO CUTE and Layne LOVES it!!!




On Saturday we went to the Arts Festival. (Josie's teacher had submitted a short story Josie had written, about a lost puppy, so we really went to see it displayed and to see if she had won a ribbon. Apparently the stories that didn't win ribbons, were not displayed - she didn't win any ribbons and her story wasn't displayed. Needless to say, she was NOT happy!) But Sam got his picture taken with the Silver Surfer.


On Sunday Adrian let the kids paint the rest of the chicken coop. That maybe was not the best idea. I think they got more paint on themselves than on the coop!
