Merry Christmas!

At school, Sam's class sent letters to Santa. Last Thursday Sam got a letter in the mail from Santa. He was so excited, but Layne was devastated that she didn't get one.
On Saturday I did my baking. So now we have a ton of goodies and nobody really to give them to. We sent some to Jason and Brenda and some to John (Jason's Dad), but Adrian and the Kids don't seem to mind too much, I guess I don't mind either - more for us! While I was baking the kids decorated a gingerbread house.

Later that afternoon Josie dressed Layne up as Barbie Mariposa.
All of you that know Josie, know that she loves crafts. On Sunday she got a hold of a bottle of Silver Glitter. I assumed it was to make something crafty, but I was wrong. Apparently she thought it would be pretty to sprinkle it all over the place. It was ALL OVER the floor in her and Layne's room, on her desk, on Layne's vanity, dresser and Kitchen, and on the counter in the bathroom. It was pretty, but I was not very happy about it! The pictures don't really do the HUGE MESS justice. The entire floor was sparkling.

Yesterday the kids turned on Christmas music and dressed up to act out the manger scene. Sam was Joseph, Josie was Mary, and Layne was a sheep.
Everyone keeps asking what Lucy thinks of Scout. She didn't like her for a few hours, but they have become very close. They love to chase each other around the pool and chew on each others ears. Despite the first picture below of them, they do like one another. The last picture just gives y'all a good idea of how big she's going to get - look at those paws!

We are planning on heading back to Indiana next weekend and are praying for good weather. I probably won't update the blog until we get back. We look forward to seeing everybody and hope all of you have a Very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year!
